My sister is also a photographer. We grew up in the Midwest wearingmatching velvet dresses and attendingfamily Sunday dinners. Strangers recognize us as sisters by appearance, gesture and voice. As photographers, however, differences are revealed in our images. Our innate personalities and life experiences have shaped who we are and formed our artistic visions. One of us works in color and the other in black and white, and that’s just the beginning. Seeing As We Are is a collaboration between sister-photographers who are exploring similarities and differences in their images and in their perspectives. A visual conversation takes placethrough image sequence, pairings and suites.
