Ms. Annable is a fine art photographer working primarily in black and white. She maintains a special fondness for the alchemy of wet darkroom processes, but has recently added digital work and even a bit of color.
She directs the elements of light, time and space to change our perceptions of the world and reveal unseen things. Her images are often enigmatic, surreal and just a little bit dangerous.
Ms. Annable’s work has been published in Black&White Magazine: Single Image Contest 2018, B&W + Color Magazine: Single Image Contest 2012 (Bronze Award) and Black and White Portfolio Contest 2012; Photographer's Forum: Best of Photography 2010, 2011 and 2012; and F-Stop Magazine.
Among the juried gallery exhibitions in which she has participated are the Berlin Foto Biennale 2016, The Griffin Museum of Photography, Filter Photo at David Weinberg Gallery, The Center for Fine Art Photography, The Vermont Photography Workplace Gallery, SE Center of Photography, Morpho Gallery, and The Bridgeport Art Center. Additional recognition has come from B&W Spider Awards, Prix de la Photographie, The Photo Review, and The Julia Margaret Cameron Awards. A two-person exhibition with her sister, "Two Sisters Two Lenses", was held at The Box Factory for the Arts.
She is married and lives in Chicago and, sometimes, St. Joseph, Michigan.
